I'm slowly starting to spread special moments through my work. It's a nerve racking process, as I bite my tongue to what others will think of it. But after being invited to my cousin's boy's first birthday, and asking specifically for me and my camera, I have never felt as honoured.
Here's my Flickr. I hope you enjoy the portfolio that will continue to grow and hopefully improve :)
Happy Birthday Baby Caleb x

The Little City
One beautiful sunny Saturday in East Perth & Perth City, it was nice to take the camera out for a walk :)
Perth isn't the most exciting place in the world, but it's nice to find beauty and appreciate the little city for what it is.
I understand that this was slightly overexposed, but I loved the shadow effect of the trees. Plus there's something about this area that makes it look European.
Trying to position the photo perfectly without wasting too much space. It was nice to get a level of rocks, sea, earth, mankind, sky and trees all in the one photo.
This is my favourite photo of the Bell Tower, I love the position, the colours including all the shades of blue, the contrast, the use of space and balance, I would so post-card this one.
Would love advice on Landscape Photography since it's my biggest area of interest.
Give it to me if you've got it!

H
All I need is my Honda Accord & my 50mm 1.8II
Car Photography has become more and more appealing to me, maybe it's just the love for my car.
My Favourite photo of the Honda Logo. Maybe I should submit it to Honda North...
I'm always open to feedback, so if you're a photographer of any level and you think my photos need work, let me know how I can make myself better :)

Cordon Rouge
Getting a new car was easily the best thing that I had done in my working life. After more than a year of saving, spending it on something that I've always dreamed about was another thing I could check off my list, and say I'm so happy I'm alive. It was just as fun taking pictures of it, I can't express how incredibly happy I am to be driving this beautiful sexy beast around in Perth.
Loving the champagne colour, it just gives off a darker, metallic edge to it than the washed out cream coloured cars. Had about 50km on the odometer when I took this photo. Brand New! <3
All about angles when it comes to this beast, it naturally is the biggest Sedan, this 2.4 Cylinder baby with 70L capacity accelerates in his sleep!

Flora
I have never been a big fan of flowers, bees and grass, but with my new 50mm 1.8 II lens, it's really opened my eyes to the beauty of shadows, colours and foreground. My parent's definition of gardening is to buy ready made pots of plants so I've just been experimenting on them. Here are the smallest roses.
Photography is like science for art, it's so fun experimenting!
I was never a fan of haze in a photo, but I think in some contexts it just works really well.
Something as small as this can capture such focus on a photograph
This one is my favourite of them all, the way the sunrise light hits so naturally on the petals, leaves and background. No editing done on this, it's all natural, just the way I like it.

One F-Stop at a Shutter.
Here's another blog on top of all my other blogs and websites. I'm not sure why I continue to pursue with making new accounts in every site available, but I've decided to make this site specific to Photography. Photography has always been a dream of mine, it's been that secret dream because no one really knew how passionate I loved photos, pictures and art. I always had an eye for angles and colour coordinating candles on a birthday cake. But I loved to draw, I needed the people, animals, buildings and objects of what I drew to be perfect. But it started to become more time consuming once I started studying Physiotherapy in 2006. Officially I stopped drawing and focusing in art class, but being able to hold my first compact camera, made me realize how perfect a photo could capture a moment and share it with people. For the most part, I think I've always tried to recollect every memory, down to the detail of how I felt in each situation because that's just who I've grown up to be, a sentimental sook! This year was the first time I decided to take a leap out of the savings bank to purchase an entry level DSLR, Canon 600D. I had to think a good half a year about whether it was really worth purchasing, and I've realized that life is too short to just let your dreams go by. So that's when I decided to just go for it.
It was the best decision outside of my career, it just opened my eyes to a world and opportunities to grow, learn and become better (Those who know me, they'll understand how big my smile can get when I talk about photography or my camera). I can't say that I'm a photographer, or hoping to one day become a professional. But it has definitely made me appreciate everything about life. Dreams don't just come when you wake up one morning, it takes hard work and faith for anything like this to become real. And studying a lot about the ugly terminology that comes with holding a camera, has made it also worthwhile. I suppose that comes with anything in life, physiotherapy being my prime example of studying for 14 exams in two weeks to now becoming a fully qualified physiotherapist, and working for almost two years now.
The more you go along this journey with me, if you choose to stay, I will appreciate every moment you decide to scroll down and read or look a little more.
To me, I believe that photography is capturing a moment in one's life and sending a message or an emotion of that moment through the eyes for others to see and comprehend. Complex, I know. But that's probably why I dislike too much computer post-editing input, because people can just end up losing the reason why they wanted to take a photo. But, art is art, individuals are all different, and I'm inspired by anything regardless.
So, enough of my rambling, Dreams will come, it just takes one step at a time, or as a photographer will probably say, "One F-Stop at a Shutter."

The first photograph I took of me & my camera. Nothing too special, but I did some editing on the computer to drain most of the colour out. Plus, I have to thank R for helping me make a logo.
My first lens 18-135mm 3.5-5.6, he was a heavy bugger, but such a nice zoom to those hard to reach places.
I bought this lens along with the above lens, I haven't experimented too much yet, but once I have enough time I'm sure this will be my new travel buddy! Can't wait to see what it can do!
