King's Park

31st of March 2012, a group of us made our way through King's Park to take snapshots of the most memorable and smaller icons of Perth's most famous tourist spot. It was a busy day, filled with tourist buses and a Cyclist Hawaii fun run. It was great fun to start the day off with a coffee and brunch, a lot of sun and camera fun.

It was very fun to take artistic shots of shadows and create my own perspective on the photowalk. Hope you enjoy, and thanks again for dropping by. It means a lot to me.

Lydia (USA) and Line Up @ Amplifier, 18th January 2012

I can never believe each opportunity until I have photo proof of it. On the 18th of January 2012, I was approved through FASTERLOUDER to take photos for USA band, Lydia, to shoot for their "Paint It Golden" Australian Tour @ Amplifier. First time shooting there, the lights were unbelievable, people were friendly and bands were awesome. Sophie Joy, TV Snow and Place of Indigo lined up to support the band.

I was so nervous before the show, I'm glad you couldn't see it on the other side of the camera, but I hope the shots were good enough. I was extremely stoked when Lydia uploaded two of my photos onto their page. I was able to take the photos 3 songs into their show, and I couldn't believe how much I didn't need to edit because the stage lights were amazing!

I have been getting unlimited support from friends and family, and it means a tonne when anyone likes a photo or even takes more than a second to look at it. My dream is not only have the opportunities to take photos of bands that I love, and create everlasting memories of them, but to be able to share an inspiration, an idea or a belief that dreaming is possible when you work hard.

Thank you so much for dropping by, whether I know you or not, I'm so grateful for it.

Cumulus Cloudscape

Whenever I get the chance to take my camera out, it has given me so many opportunities to remember the beautiful moments and scenery of this life. Clouds have been the reason for my love to landscape photography, the colours, depth, shape, shadow and power it gives even though it moves so slow it seems so still, yet it can cause the most horrific events.  Saturday Midday I walked to Point Walter with my Canon 600D & EF 10-22mm to take these photos.

Hope you enjoyed my October walk, and hope to take more when I get the chance. x

The Little City

One beautiful sunny Saturday in East Perth & Perth City, it was nice to take the camera out for a walk :)

I understand that this was slightly overexposed, but I loved the shadow effect of the trees. Plus there's something about this area that makes it look European.

Trying to position the photo perfectly without wasting too much space. It was nice to get a level of rocks, sea, earth, mankind, sky and trees all in the one photo.
This is my favourite photo of the Bell Tower, I love the position, the colours including all the shades of blue, the contrast, the use of space and balance, I would so post-card this one.
Perth isn't the most exciting place in the world, but it's nice to find beauty and appreciate the little city for what it is.

Would love advice on Landscape Photography since it's my biggest area of interest.
Give it to me if you've got it!
