King's Park

31st of March 2012, a group of us made our way through King's Park to take snapshots of the most memorable and smaller icons of Perth's most famous tourist spot. It was a busy day, filled with tourist buses and a Cyclist Hawaii fun run. It was great fun to start the day off with a coffee and brunch, a lot of sun and camera fun.

It was very fun to take artistic shots of shadows and create my own perspective on the photowalk. Hope you enjoy, and thanks again for dropping by. It means a lot to me.

Lydia (USA) and Line Up @ Amplifier, 18th January 2012

I can never believe each opportunity until I have photo proof of it. On the 18th of January 2012, I was approved through FASTERLOUDER to take photos for USA band, Lydia, to shoot for their "Paint It Golden" Australian Tour @ Amplifier. First time shooting there, the lights were unbelievable, people were friendly and bands were awesome. Sophie Joy, TV Snow and Place of Indigo lined up to support the band.

I was so nervous before the show, I'm glad you couldn't see it on the other side of the camera, but I hope the shots were good enough. I was extremely stoked when Lydia uploaded two of my photos onto their page. I was able to take the photos 3 songs into their show, and I couldn't believe how much I didn't need to edit because the stage lights were amazing!

I have been getting unlimited support from friends and family, and it means a tonne when anyone likes a photo or even takes more than a second to look at it. My dream is not only have the opportunities to take photos of bands that I love, and create everlasting memories of them, but to be able to share an inspiration, an idea or a belief that dreaming is possible when you work hard.

Thank you so much for dropping by, whether I know you or not, I'm so grateful for it.

FASTER LOUDER

5 years ago, I had stumbled across this website and had occasionally looked at it as a source of information for rock band coming to Australia. In 2010, I had my photo taken with a friend from a Photographer of FasterLouder and I had always wanted to take photos for this site. On New Years 2012, I got accepted by their editor to be a photographer!

I was totally stoked, My first gig was last night at Norfolk Hotel for three great bands, and my next big one is on Wednesday with a USA band, LYDIA @ Amps. I'm so excited yet nervous at the same time!

Here is the site to my new published photo album :)

PS. Today, a band also requested for my photo and video skills! I finally might have enough to pay off this Portrait Course I paid for just recently with Camera Club Australia. Life is becoming the dream.

Moving On

It's time to move on from mistakes, and start fresh and better in the new year. Last shots on Thursday night was the best. It's a sign to move onto a better crowd :)

JTIONOWIDJAJA PHOTOGRAPHY

Alright, I'm trying not to get too excited about starting this up, because the last thing I want is to expect too much out of it. But talking to an inspiration of this field the other day, made me realize how possible this all became to me. It was about learning and getting the ropes on a business. I'm not one of knowing anything about businesses, but I know feeling inspired and motivated was the best place to start in this! I'm going to take this slow, and hopefully once I've got a more dynamic range of images in my portfolio, I can share it with people who can appreciate my work. Getting offered to contribute to an online music magazine to the genre that I love and breathe, is easily the most uplifting things that has happened to me this month! Hopefully I can use it well in the next two months, getting access to shoot photos at gigs that I normally wish I could go to alone is the perfect way to improve my skills but meet a whole bunch of new exciting people. Concert Photography is on it's way. But so is the opportunity to expand this photography to wherever I want to go!

JTIONOWIDJAJA PHOTOGRAPHY is starting, and I wanted to save this printscreen to see how it all started. Thanks for reading. x
